Jacob Nicholson is a UK-based painter. His series Small Arms looks at why children love playing with toy weapons. He places realistic-looking guns in bright, colourful playroom scenes, asking whether toy weapons are just harmless fun, or about something deeper, like a child's wish to feel powerful.
