André Wendland (b. 1995) is a German painter who lives and works in Karlsruhe, where he graduated from the State Academy of Fine Arts in the class of Tatjana Doll. Drawing on everyday life and the language of cartoons, he paints bold, brightly coloured characters that feel at once new and familiar, inviting the viewer to dive straight in.
