Samah Rafiq (b. 2000) is a London-based painter. She graduated with a First in Fine Art: Painting from Camberwell College of Arts in 2022 and completed an MA in Painting at the Royal College of Art in 2024. Working mainly in oil, alongside studies in gouache, graphite and coloured pencil, she draws on films, vintage magazines, adverts, packaging and shopfronts. Her paintings explore the language of consumer imagery, and how everyday commercial images can be raised to something close to objects of worship.
