Heyo (b. 1983, Jeju, South Korea) is a painter based on the island of Jeju, where he paints every day. Working in acrylic on linen, his practice moves fluidly between portrait, landscape, and still life — treating every element on the canvas as an object, arranged like props on a quietly theatrical stage.
Since 2024 he has been exploring still life with fresh curiosity, experimenting with ways to bring figures and landscape elements together as if they were objects — creating scenes that feel at once composed and alive. His ambition is to blur the traditional boundaries of painting, collapsing its biggest genres into a single frame.
