Ruaidhri Ryan

Ruaidhri Ryan is a London-based artist working with mosaic and moving image. Informed by his experience in the film industry, Ryan's practice incorporates cinematic and advertising tropes into his still-life mosaics. His work seeks to elevate overlooked and mundane objects, cementing a diary of human progress with cartoonish humour. Ryan graduated with an MFA from the Slade School of Fine Art in 2014 and recently exhibited at Tuesday>Friday Valencia, Focal Point Gallery, UK and the British School in Rome where he was resident as Augusta Scholar. His work has also featured at Spike Island, Chisenhale, Arebyte and internationally renowned film festivals.
