Hailing from LA, Rosie Clements (b.1990) works in photography, sculpture, and print. Her practice, regardless of medium, remains fundamentally image-based. In her studies Rosie received a Bachelor of Science in Photography from Northern Arizona University before completing her MFA in Studio Art at the University of Texas in Austin.
In her latest works, she transforms her digital photographs into physical objects, testing the boundaries between the material and virtual worlds.
Rosie has mastered a unique type of digital printer that uses ultraviolet light to cure the ink as soon as it is applied to a surface. In order to give new life for her wonderful photos, she decided to print them onto bubble wrap, taking them from a virtual world into a physical one.
